This is the beginning I make caramel apples and will not be the last. While I found the theifs to be easy in making there were some things to keep in mind.
I used organic granny smith apples and no matter the reason kind of apples you used you should wash them fantastic with soap and hot water and sand them gently by having a fine grit sandpaper to clear out the waxy coat so your caramel can stick.
I started coating the apples without completing this last step plus the caramel would not stick….so guess what? I had to sand the apples and let my caramel sit for a while, Bad!
I had a substantial amount of pictures I got taking while preparing the apples on the other hand lost all of them. My storage device would not read the pictures I had been taking and also computer wouldn’t upload them either i absolutely had to reformat the invite and as a result I lost every single shot….about 100 belonging to the them 🙁
The pictures you see listed here are pretty much for the completed product without the process. At least there is something.

At this stage you can actually leave the apples as is also or decorate them in endless ways. I melted the chocolate through the microwave and used a spatula to hide each apple. If carrying this out coat one apple at any given time with the melted chocolate and immediately follow aided by the chopped pecans.
